Nigeria Firm Develops Solutions to Fight Malaria Scourge

Mobile Software Solutions Limited, a local startup company has developed Malaria Destroyer Game (MDG), an application that aims to eradicate malaria in Africa and the world over.

The MDG strategy aims to reduce the cost of lost productivity in Nigeria/Africa, by 50% by 2015.

The central focus of the company chaired by Chris Uwaje, Fellow of the Nigerian Computer Society, a veteran ICT Professional and the pioneer of National IT Policy for Nigeria, is to ensure that Nigeria attains a fundamental requirement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

According to available data each year over one million of the 300-500 million cases of malaria result in death – most of them occurring in Africa.

Nigeria accounts for over 300,000 deaths yearly. Nigerians Health profile is therefore in great danger!

Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, minister of Health, said that every 45 seconds, a child dies of Malaria in Africa! Also, Malaria costs Africa an estimated $12 billion in lost economic productivity each year due to Malaria!

Also according to Bill Gates III of Gates & Melinda Foundation, more than 80% of the Malaria related deaths in Africa are caused by sheer ignorance and lack of visionary commitment by policy makers.

In Nigeria, Mobile Software Solutions Limited has effectively responded to this monumental challenge by conceptualizing and originating the “Malaria Destroyer Game

MDG is capable of reaching over 50 million people in Nigeria and 500 million in Africa.

MDG is a Technology and Education based Mobile Apps Psycho-Game designed to save future generations from the malaria pandemic in Nigeria/Africa .-  by eradicating mosquitoes and by extension the destruction of Malaria.

The central objective of MDG  is to deploy and apply Technology capability to reach millions of people world-wide and destroy Malaria – more than any other solution has ventured to date.

It is a digital knowledge-entertainment and educational mobile psycho-Game. MDGTM is endorsed by the United Nations (UNESCO Chair on e-Learning for Africa), Open Media, Ltd., Centre for Values and Leadership, University of Tampere, Finland and others too numerous to mention.

The stack version of the Application is designed to reach about 50 million people in Nigeria, 150 million in West Africa and over 500 million in Africa.
